Police responded to 12 collisions involving motorcycles in 2023
CBC NewsKris KetonenThunder Bay police are urging people to prioritize safety when driving around the city as motorcycles return to the roads.
Thunder Bay police traffic Const. Tom Armstrong said officers responded to 12 collisions involving motorcycles in both 2022 and 2023, and two so far in 2024.
And while Armstrong noted that 12 may seem like a low number, the percentage of collisions that lead to the death of, or serious injuries to, a motorcycle rider is very high.
