The City of Thunder Bay hopes its new, accessible and inclusive south-side playground will be open by the end of June.

The playground will be constructed at Vickers Park. Site preparation is underway, with construction expected to start in late May or early June, said Werner Schwar, the city's supervisor of parks and open space planning.
