2017 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup September 1-10, 2017, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada

Participating Teams

The 12 teams that have secured their place in the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2017 include: United States, Cuba, Canada, Mexico,  Nicaragua, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Italy and Netherlands, Australia and South Africa.

Sessions

During the Opening Round (September 1 - September 6), morning and afternoon games at Port Arthur Stadium will be grouped into sessions. Only one ticket needs to be purchased in order to access both games in the session. 

Tickets at Baseball Central will be handled as Day Passes throughout the tournament, with a single ticket needed to access all three games held at Baseball Central on that day. 

Note:  26 Games will be played at Port Arthur Stadium and 24 Games will be played at Baseball Central for a total of 50 games.

 

Opening Round and Secondary Round

The Opening Round takes place from September 1 -September 6. September 7 is a scheduled Rest Day. 

Secondary Round games will take place from September 7 - September 9, and are defined as either “Super Round” or “Consolation Round” games. Secondary Round game times and team names will be set after the conclusion of the Opening Round. Although the bulk of Consolation Round Games will be played at Baseball Central, there may be Super Round Games scheduled there as well.

 

Ticketing Policies

PAL Cards

A complimentary ticket will be provided for the support worker accompanying a PAL card carrier. Valid on single game, general admission tickets only. PAL card must be presented at Box Office at time of purchase. One support worker per PAL card carrier. 

 

Major League Scout Policy

TBIBA has held one seat behind home-plate per organization for all Port Arthur stadium games. To claim this seat for your organization please contact Martina at [email protected].

All additional scout tickets must be purchased as usual through the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium. 

Senior Tickets
People who are 55+ are eligible to purchase senior tickets.

TOURNAMENT VOUCHER HOLDERS: There has been a slight change to the times listed on your tickets. Please note that the Opening Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m., September 10 Bronze Medal Game at 1:00 p.m. and the Gold Medal Game at 6:30 p.m.
